Do i hear a cry for updates?? lol!
Sorry but it seems like i'll have great witty ideas for a blog entry which would immediately disappear as soon as i log on to blogger! gah! But. i'l try my best to fill up a few paragraphs about what's happening in my non-existent life..
Update #1:
The much anticipated BBQ got rained on. To give you an idea of how last minute it was, i was anxiously waiting on the patio for Sherlin to come pick me up when Claryce called to say tt it was raining at Tampines. Man! At that very moment, i felt like throwing bricks at the sky and whatnot. Yes, that "NOOOOOOooooo" sound you heard on sat was me.
But my family proved to be a absolute lifesaver! As soon as i asked my parents for permission to use the house and BBQ, they said yes and sprang into action. Within minutes, my dad had the BBQ pit set and Jie Jie and Mummy were busy heating up the charcoal for the fire. Within half and hour, we had a fire going. And this is despite the fact that it was my dad's last day of his July Singapore's visit and Jie Jie having to go off to pick Dan up from the airport in a matter of time! What can i say? My family is fabulous!
I havent gotten the pics of the BBQ from the rest yet, hence i shall post the pics another time. But was really glad that the birthday babies enjoyed their celebration and presents!! They deserve the best and i'm glad that they liked the cupcakes. Kudos esp to Asilah for the cupcakes and picking out such fine presents! Hidayah and Jing Xian played essential roles in present hunting too!
Update #2:
Well.. I've finally passed my driving! As Claryce said, "
Driver in the house yo!" One baby step into adult hood! :D Hooray! As soon as i could get out of the centre, i called my mom to pick me up and fixed the plates so that i could start driving asap! Celebrated by driving straight to Novena which meant taking the CTE. Talk about baptism by fire! Fetched Audrey from school and then later, Jie Jie from Bishan. It was nerve wrecking trying to drive in the rain in the dark. To make it worse, my car's wipers were a tad old so whenever it wiped away the raindrops, i would be left peering through a blurred window. And then there's the issue of parking the car in my house's garage. I think i gave my mum quite a fright a few times when i tried parking it!
BUT FEAR NOT! I will practise and practise and
practise! This license is so expensive and difficult to get, i must make full use of it! Also, I told my parents that they do not have to worry about me getting reckless on the road because this license is just too precious to lose! Am resolved to being a safe and careful driver! :D Will practise in time for Hari Raya & CNY visiting! ho ho ho!
Update #3:
Mum has been sick all week long so i've been busy juggling all the housework with everything else. While the laundry, ironing and cleaning are okay, nothing else would make me take up cooking. All week long, i've been dancing around in the kitchen, squealing and squealing when the stupid oil splatters onto me. I swear, the food is evil. It's out to get me for cooking it. The other day, this drop of hot oil jumped out of the
kwali to miss my eye by an inch.
An inch! I wanted to show it the middle finger. After the first day, i realised tt i couldnt do it on my own so i have roped in Audrey to assist me... together with the guidance of Jie Jie thru email, i have made it thru the first week of cooking :D Hooray!
Anyhoos, housework, driving, job hunting and dash's ear infection have kept me pretty busy for the past week. I promise that once things settle down next week, i'll sit down and properly do the presents accounts. Up to today, im still scratching my head over the remaning $20!
Also on the promise list, my very first birthday wishlist! :D
For now, the hint is NO clothes!
