where do i even begin?
Friday's Hari Raya Visiting was
simply fabulous!
We sampled loads of yummy homemade goodies, laughed till our tummies ached and got to visit 3 houses in one night!
The first stop was Alvinna's hse and man, does Alvinna have a princess bed that every girl dreams of owning! Anyways, she graciously offered up her photos for us to have a look at. Naturally we were finding for the days where everyone had centre parting/ feeler hair/ wore vests and colourful pants/ had bowl cut hair... well basically where we all looked gawky.
Ohhh don't lie. All of us have been there!
It was really cool going through all the photos. As Vinna has been to Mecca, I got to see the cave my beloved Juliusssss (and singlet *AHHHHH*) was talking about! Asilah cleverly managed to spot a pattern in Alvinna's smiles.. :D can you spot it??

AND! we found a photo of Mr Alvinna!
heeeheeehee!
The next few photos we went through has made me a tad apprehensive about teasing Alvinna. (Dear Alvinna, It's all in good fun! You'll be laughin at mine when you come over to my house for Christmas anyways!)
All i'm saying is that i don't ever want to be on the bad side of Alvinna!

We came across photos of Sherlin, Hidayah, Asilah and Alvinna where they were doing their archi project in year 1. It seems so weird to be looking at a photo where everything and nothing has changed.

We had dinner at Alvinna's house where i fell instantly in love with her mom's mutton rendang! I think that there was a salad somewhere... but MUTTON rendang! *SLLURP!* and Chicken curry! and bryani rice! :D :D :D
OH OH OH! and we had bandung there. Now it's offically Huili's drink as it is pink! And there were some lovely pink cookies there too! with a drop of silver on top of the icing. And Vinna's dad made some twisty snack which reminded me of chips. Cause it's never gonna be enough!!
Next stop was Hidayah's house!
I think that i forgot to save the pictures of her neat stacks of newspapers, the arrangement of shells in her name, the neat and orderly state of everything in her house. Seriously, it's
that neat. It's like my dad's idea of heaven. Something about the cleanliness of her house gave it the feel of a resort-like atmosphere.
Here's the most resort-y photo i've got of her house! See the pizza and garlic bread?? I'm never going back to pizza hut. The garlic bread was so nicely done that when you bite it, your teeth (and braces) sink into the moist and tasty bread and you can savour every bite!

As mentioned, Hidayah's house is super duper neat. Even the vases are arranged! So we decided to fun her by arranging ourselves in height. No prizes for guessing where i stood. bah.
I look awful in these pics, so i have conveniently cropped myself out. See? there are distinct advantages of being short! :D
Posing in Height Arrangement in Hidayah's room:

Hidayah's room has a toy figurine of a green power ranger.... with her picture stuck to the face of the figurine.. So i guess we'll all know what Hidayah would look like if she was a man!
Her parents weren't home so we had the whole house to ourselves. We took that to mean "Let's take photos with the self timer on Alvinna's Cam!" Heh. Here are some of the results!
I like jumping shots. There is something to be said about the spontaneity of the moment because you'll never know when to jump!

Here's the solemn one:
Should it be "who like" or "who likes"?? I have a feeling my caption is wrong. Ah wells, knowing how some wince when i massacre the good language of English, i'm sure someone is gonna tell me which one i ought to have used!
I love the next shot! Claryce managed to pull Alvinna and topple 4 people behind her in 2 seconds! All hail Claryce, the next Xena!

After clearing up, we headed to Asilah's house where we felt like royalty! Her plates are crystal and the decor felt very Ritz Carlton! We had more of the cornflaky biscuit ( i simply must have the recipe for that one!) and yummy snacks made by Asilah. I'm sorry but i was too blown away by the crystal plates! hahaha!
After rolling our well fed tummies into her room, we proceeded to take more pictures and soon, Claryce found herself in a fix with many trying to overcome the Xena strength in her! Xena lost in that round! hahaha!
i have to say this: Asilah's cat has the nicest fur i have even patted! It's all soft... Gotta feed Dash more fish oil to get it feeling like that!!
Pretty soon, discussion turned to everything under the sun. From blueblacks under toe nails (*shudder*) to skanska... nothing was taboo! But then, time flies when you are having fun!
All too soon, we had to go home. With promises to pose as the evolution theory in the Christmas party, we separated ways.
It was my very first Hari Raya Visiting and it was such a great night out that i can hardly wait for next year's visiting! Kudos to all the parents and families who allowed us to come over, were so warm and welcoming to us, and tolerated the loud bursts of laughter and screams that came from the rooms! It was a night i won't forget in a hurry! :D
Gosh. i just read through my post and it reads like im writing a primary school narrative composition!!!! What has happened to me???
