Hey everyone, im pretty sorry abt the inconvenience. Too lazy to set up the password thingy right now.

Guess i owe everyone an explanation for this sudden change in privacy status. It started when my younger sis got realy angry with her class (she's the monitress, a position i really do not envy! Your teachers blame u if the class isn't quiet, yet when u try to keep the class in order, they wun shut up). Anyways, she got real mad with them one day and blogged about it. Her class blog is www.onelwithattitude.blogspot.com and she said that they should change it to www.onelwithbadattitude.blogspot.com . And after the initial anger had died down, she realised how stupid bloggin about it was, took it down and apologised profusely for it. But the damage had already been done. Some vicious tagging and confrontation came up and the whole thing blew up. She tried everything to show how remorseful she was. It's been weeks since it hapened and just when she thought tht things were looking up.. someone went to change the class blog's url to www.onelwithbadattitude.blogspot.com . and they were trying to pin the blame on her.

Audrey broke down in front of me and told me the whle story. seeing how upset she was, i made her sign into the class blog account and i changed it back to www.onelwithattitude.blogspot.com This was done after i read several postings where other classmates wer asking who changed the url to the one with the word "bad". Yes, this is getting tedious but bear with me a little longer. im getting to the reason soon!

SO! i changed the url back to the original one and got to thinkin.. the idiot is gonna change it back to the one with bad attitude again. and everythign is gonna be repeated unless the web url is not available. And whats the only way to make the url unavailable? That is if someone else uses it!

Hheh. i then created a new blog and used that www.onelwithbadattitude.blogspot.com as its webby. it as fun writing really qian bian (see already wil wanna slap me) posts like "Today, i woke up" .. Problem is. i forgot to preview it! and turns out t blogger publishs ur profile on the page unles u take it off! So the poisonous 13 yr old girls who saw tt i took their intended blog's url could click on my profile link and find my bitchaholics blog, which, in case u didnt know, is this one. They tagged here. if you scroll down the tagboard, you can see some amusing posts.. Seems like they tried to tag "bitch" but as cbox doesnt allow vulgarities, it came out as "*****". hahaha! funny la. and they just typed repeated messages of "bitch" and "moronic busybodies" sigh. they would really benefit from a day in my internship company where they can learn more insults! hahaaha!

anyways.. the 2nd round of spaming my tagboard came later on the same day.. if you can see my tagboard, there are a few tags of "adel: im a bitch". i think they just learned the word. I mean.. does my blog webby BITCHaholics.blogspot.com mean anything to them? tsk tsk. such feeble minds.

while i don't mind these tags because i know they come from 13 yr olds, i realised that they are 13 yr olds! 13 yr olds have ALOT of spare time! they will prob jam up my tagboard. and i wun be in spore to manage it. hence, im making this blog private. I will prob do the password thingy soon because i realise not many ple have gmail... but for now, this wil have to make do.

arrgghh i'm so frustrated! 15 mins! and tt bloody ***%$ beat me to the spree! damnit! now im refreshing the page every 10 secs wondering whether the person wll refund me. damnit! i saw the spree first! ARRGHHH! this sucks! i want that shirt!

anyways, just bloggina bout something that has been nigging at my mind. The other day, i was sitting in lecture, and as much as i tried, my mind kept zoning out. And this question popped into my head "how on earth did i get myself into uni?"

i find stuff like "Market forecast", statistics or "fragmentation of the process" utterly boring. a page of numbers turns me off. Up to today, i don't even know how to solve one of those "if 5 men can build a doghouse in 3 days, how many days does it take for 8 men to do the same thing?". Once i saw such a question, i wud automatically skip it and go to the next one.. Seriously, it was like i couldnt even bothered to find out what the answer was!

Another example to demonstrate my incredulity at ending up in uni is the one incident in secondary school. I distinctly remember my sec 4 a maths teacher giving out the test papers. When i scanned thru the qustions, i read "COS y" as "cosy" and i remember thinkin "hee hee! cosy!" i swear, i had to read thru the question twice to realise that it meant "COS y" and i remember the exact thought tt popped into my mind then. it was "i'm so screwed for this test."

it's like everything i've been taught has flown out of my head. I can't pronounce chinese right, i can't tell u th 5 types of brickwork, i can't do a quick mental calculation of how much 10% is of a price tag/ bill. It's like everything i felt to be too boring was filtered out of my brain right after exams. Up to now, it's lke the topic of anything grown-upish turns me off.. investment bonds? boring! stock market? boring! PM's speech rally? boring! but tell me celebrity gossip?yes pls! tv shows? yes pls! How is it i can discuss the story arcs of Heroes, grey's anatomy, criminal minds, bones and share such strong opinions about their characters and acting but when it comes to discussing my views on the PM's speech rally, i go str8 into a daydream?

gaahhh! i wish i wasnt such a bimbo. if i was a serious scholar who has her brillant brain set on being a business mogul then maybe i will be looking at the business times instead of reaching for the comics section in the newspapers. if i was a serious intelligent and focused person, i would actually follow people's intelligent conversation instead of makng nice intelligent grunts and nodding knowledgeably whilst thinking "what is this guy talkin about and why on earth did he choose to wear those shoes??"

ah wells... i just wondered how i managed to get thru all the maths, and science and history and all ... and to end up in uni??? i just cant believe my luck that's all! :D

even though i still tink spore's uni is a bit screwed up in the sense tt it's not teaching us life skills like better critical thinkin skills, and how to look at stuff in a diferent angle and discovering ourselves.. bt that's a topic for anothe postt...

i just finished season 1 of bones and criminal minds and man! criminal minds is a one serious kick-ass show! garcia is all kinds of awesome! I may have just found the alternaative to Grey's anatomy! so then!

Have you ever wondered why people go all drama-ish hooha when they break up? How many of these "why doesn't he love me back?", "where did our love go wrong?", "i still love him.. make him come back" have you sat through? How many times have friends patiently offered a listening ear when people go through the whole up-and-downs of relationships?

Think about it. Friend A gets attracted to boy A. Friend A starts chatting excitedly about boy A who has become potential boyfriend A material. Friend B gets all excited because Friend B geninuely cares about Friend A's happiness. Then the merry-go-round begins. Friend A has boyfriend A. Friend B gradually gets pushed out of Friend A's life. When Friend B wans to talk about other stuff, Friend B switches off. Nothing else is as important as Boyfriend A. A meet up is never possible. Conversations center around Boyfriend A. How much can Friend B take?

She'll do anyting for her boyfriend. From cooking his meals to surprising him with roses to helping him take his phone for repair. But she'll not remember when her friends' birthdays are. She'll fold a thousand paper cranes for him but she'll not notice when her friends are upset. She'll rush to his aid the moment he smses but she'll not reply her friends' smses till the next day. She cries and analyses his every movement if they have had a fight. But she barely notices that her friends just argued with her.

I'm not pinpointing anyone.. i just thought that this is a pretty common theme among friends.. especially singaporean girls because come on. let's face it.. singaporean girls have never really been the most secure girls when it comes to relationships. Ilknow that many, including yours truly, can be safely accused of being guilty of such behaviour.

You see.. what bothers me abt this whole affair is that.. After getting neglected all these while, friend B takes an importance in friend A's life only when there is a crisis in friend A's life. If there is a break up, friend A tinks that friend B will always be there for her. Which is a tricky business for friend B.

You don't console friend A, and people will say you are a bad friend.

You console friend A, and everyone doesnt tink any better of you because friends are expected to do that. But listening to endless conversation analysing what went wrong? or having to constantly remind them of their self worth when what they did was essentially fling friend B aside when everything was fine? Picking up the pieces is a tedious and long process whichoften goes unappreciated. Often when break ups happen, the injured party needs someone to blame it on. You can't really tell the person that "hey. snap out of it. it's over" or anything because sometimes, you become on the receiving end of their anger because they need someone to vent it on.

So, isnt it a lose- lose situation for friend B?

I was talking to ting today.. and it's pretty sad to note the difference between friendships and relationships.

When break-ups happen in relationship, parties often try their best to save it.

When friendships break up, they don't go out with much fanfare. They just quietly dissolve. One party stops caring and the other one gets tired of tryin to maintain it tt they simply give up. Cause hey! there are other friends out there ain't there?

The other day, my dad was filling in a form and they asked for the particulars of 2 people who would be able to vouch for his character. And he filled in his friends' particulars. When i peeped over his shoulder, i saw that he had filled in the particulars of his friends. And in the section that asked him to state how long he had known the person.. well.. let's just said that they knew each other when they were 13! And to be able to maintain that kind of contact and friendship till their fifties is pretty incredible. Out of all my years of education, from kindergarden till JC, the only people i still contact are from my JC years. How sad is that? My parents have more friends than me. -_-

I once read an article about how people should try to maintain contact with their friends. But, what if the friends do not want to reach out? There is only so much you can do before you feel like throwing in the towel. It's like one day, something makes you screech to a stop and question your feelings. Why do you feel like you are patching up a boat full of leaks? Why do u feel so tired making excuses for your friend? Why are you doing this? And you realise, why do you even care when the other party has stop caring long ago? She has stopped caring about you. You were essentially just another audience in which she could relive her experiences. She's so far gone and here you are, like a pathetic foolish ex-girlfriend, desperately clinging to shreds of the memories. It isn't the same anymore.

So you bury this friendship in a graveyard, knowing that what's gonna hurt the most is that she'll never know that this friendship died a long time ago. Maybe, one day, she'll look up and go "hey.. didn't there used to be someone... oh never mind". That's what you'll become. A fleeting memory. A transitional figure who was tossed aside once your purpose has been served.

So this is what it is like when you knowingly kill a friendship. The quiet resignation and peace knowing that you won't fight the inevitable anymore. I wish you had pretended to care. Because faking excuses to myself was much better than knowing than you stopped caring a long time ago.

With your long legs (Hmpph), and perfect skin, you seriously shud give up being an accountant and go be a model!

Anyways, i realised tt most of my birthday posts for you has been "remember when... " always about the past.. So! this year i have decided to change tack. The future, baby(!), is wher we must look forward to!

To me, our friendship is like the vandalise-a-table-or-tree-to-carve-in-"FRIENDS FOREVER" kind of friendship.. It's the double-joy kind of friendship/ share-any-woes-so-tt-we-can-bitch-about-it kind of friendship. So if i ever have to let u go (touch wood) im gonna put up one helluva fight!

So hopefully, we can still be friends when we are old and wrinkly and forgetful...and we can order mcdonalds every day! to hell with health then , i say!

However, there is still a long way to go before our first white hair and i thought tt we might like to thoroughly enjoy our 22nd yr first!

If you have ever wanted to get a better grasp of the religions around us (including, even, your own), this is the module for you.
This course offers an introductory survey of major religious traditions of the world, with specific focus on Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We will examine the origin and historical development of each tradition, along with its sacred texts, basic philosophical and metaphysical ideas, values and social ideals, patterns of ritual and worship, and specialized institutions. Our goal is to provide an objective understanding of each tradition on its own terms, and secondarily, an introduction to the academic study of religion.
The module also seeks to encourage discussion of contemporary events in the news and popular media. You will find that the religions we study in class are 'alive' in the events that happen in our world.
