no more morning crowds!

no more viewing really horrid displays of commuters not moving in/behaving badly/ leaning against the pole/ showing how little brains or manners they really have!

no more morning debates abt what to wear to work!

no more sleeping early so as to get up in a reasonably cheery mood the following morning!

no more vulgarities (yes, im really surprised at this one too.)

no more wincing as i hear some boss berating his employees..

no more Mr Fundamental! (this counts for DOUBLE)

no more aunty with her snide comments!



man! just typing out several "no more"s just made me wanna put my hands in the air (like you just don't care) and scream out in total, utter bliss!



the last week of internship passed surprisingly fast.. it was discovered that 2 other girls felt the same way abt a certain person in the company and we spent most of our last week in the panty/toilet swapping stories and gossip titbits. That was pretty fun. I'm gonna miss their lunch company coz it was really great swapping info on where to get good deals!



anyways! been really busy since internship ended (hence the lack of posts). ting and neela came back!!!!!! well booo for neela coz she had to go back earlier, so we couldnt hang out much. but i rather enjoyed her birthday surprise... heh.



See. Neela's bday had passed but we wanted to do something special for her. With everyone in favour, i managed to get a cake and it was decided that i wud arrive later with the cake (using work as an excuse) and pass it discreetly to the waiter. During dessert, we would get the staff to bring it out and then presto! BUT! neela was being a very very uncooperative person-who-wud-be-surprised. Pei, knowing that neela would be a nice person and insist tt they wait for me at the mrt station, warned me of the situation. Hence, it was in extreme desperation that i manged to conceive a total lie which neela totally swallowed. It just came out of my mouth that blue whale was gonna propose to ting for that very dinner, hence it wud be very unromantic to propose at carls jr, wasn't it??? :) And ting didnt know about the surprise, so sssshh. HAHAHA! hey! come on, ting's blog entry was just begging for it to happen la! No one greets me at the airport with a huge bouquet of roses! on one knee! skidding across the floor somemore!



anyways, Neela's face was GRINNING with such anticipation...It was totally fun to see her face twinklin from across the table as she anticipateed the appearance of blue whale. And i wish that i could have captured the shocked look on her face when she realised that she was the birthday girl! Totally captured the meaning behind the phrase "jaw dropped"!hahahahha!

and then to see her standing awkardly on the chair, weakly waving her sparkler(??) while fish and co staff did a birthday rap for her...



Something told me that ting may not appreciate the humour behind the blue whale lie and may even attempt to set my hair on fire once she heard of it. Hence, i made the (undecidedly) wise move of warning pei not to tel ting about the blue whale lie until after the candles had been blown!



Upon hearing that blue whale wasn't gonna appear to propose to ting, Neela was so disappointed that i felt a tad guilty abt lettin her down.. unless ting.... wanna live up to expectations? HAHAHA! At first, we couldnt believe that neela wud swallow the whole story until we rememebered that hey! this is neela... who believed that the canteen burned down during the one day she was absent from school. HAHAHA!



Of course, meeting up with JC people will mean bringing up embarassing memories which u try as hard as possible to forget for the remainder of the year. I even managed to forget about the whole loverboy business that ting had to answer for me! ooohhhh loverboy.. the very thought sends a chill down my spine! and not in a good way! more of "im-so-mortified-can-i-pls-erase-tt-part-of-my-life?"



Well, it was pretty awesome shoppin with ting.. She's one of the few people that i can really shop shop with. as in, drag her around the mall and into stalls to demand her opinion or to just idly try on stuff at random. Not to mention the amusement she provides one as one watches her face contort into agony as she contemplated buyin expensive tops which she looks gorgeous in. i don't think she found my "reward-thyself-for-not-smoking" contribution very helpful but hey! she found it equally amusing when pei had to go thru the same motions the very next day!



And shopping with ting is served with side titbits of gossip about dough boy and sugar boy. I swear, both of them are crying for a good sound spanking! We may have to send a cane to australia next.

In other news, i spent the whole of this afternoon in the very fruitful task of de-ticking my dog. See how well spent my time has been since the internship ended?? heh!

after what happened today, i have this uneasy feeling that i will never ever understand middle aged men. One moment, they say something which totally contradicts everything, the next, they change their mind and the conclusion they manage to conjure up is just......... just manages to leave you reeling speechless as you try to fathom how on earth they managed to come to such a conclusion.
