heh..i got to breathe the very air in Tiffany & Co. What wonders advertising and marketing can do.. such a pretty box! i was telling my colleagues, i will be super happy if i see a Tiffany & Co robin egg blue box! dun care what's inside! hahahhaha!





i got to peek at the displays and man! they have this very very fantastic silver dragonfly/butterfly necklace. I know jianxinag must be going "ah see! so bimbo" but i just kept going back to that counter.

Got to watch x men 3 courtesy of my company. They sent out emails to tell anyone who wanted a free pair of tickets to watch either Xmen 3 or Poisedon to sign up on this website where the winners wouold be picked. And i won a pair! hahahahahah! was super gleeful when i got those tickets! At first, i didn't tink tt it was a pair of tickets and was planning to go watch with yujen and karen since they won them too.. was super surprised when they said a PAIR of tickets! unbelievable! hahahahaha so i dragged a sleepy jianxiang out of his bed to watch it with me.

a word of advice to all planning to watch x men3: please stay back after the credits roll. after all those credits, there is a little more. not much of an ending but still.. milk your money's worth out of it!

oh ya. and good ol ah lai had to sms me to ask me what my results were right before the show started so i was basically chewing my thumbnail, alternating between worrying avt my results and trying to watch the moive. thanks a lot ah lai.

sigh.. i need a good book to see me through the boring mrt rides. haven gotten all my rewards for getting up early everyday but i tink gonna stop spending. all the designs arent very nice now tt the sale is going on... plus crowds turn me off.

gah. my original intent of coming online was to look for JY to ask abt the stocks.. guess he isnt coming online. ah wells! back to the weekdays i guess.

It's scary the way i can't stop smiling.

heh.. i see that ting's posts are increasing as the exams and workload pile up.

finally the long weekend. last long weekend for a very very very long while! i can't wait to get back to school so that i can finally relax! :)nahhh im just kidding.. my colleagues are nice and all but they are perfect. so it's kinda tiring to try to be as perfect as them.. i dun understand how they can maintain their makeup all day long.

The moment Jinyu left for China, both cheeyen and i fell sick. wth.. so for the last few days, i have been sneezing my makeup off! it's really no joke to have a drippy nose during induction training.. like your nostrils are clogged up with mucus and u very much wanna blow but can't coz you dun wan to draw attention to yourself. sigh.

so far so good for my job.. i got to go to town during office hours today! heh. all in the name of an errand! heh.. got to wander around a bit! and the most amazinf discovery? since my department is on the same level as the poeple who conduct training programs (they provide lots of foodies during training), once a training has ended, they bring the leftover food to my floor's pantry! yummy! the pantry is just in front of me man!

i foresee a very happy journey to chubbiness! yay!

im super happy and contented with life right now.. on the very last day of my papers, i got a call to tell me that UBS wans me for the marketing internship! yes yes yes! coz just the night before i was worrying about what to do for the next 3 months!

started work on thursday with an extremely BIG pimple on my nose.. needless to say, i was mortified! heh.. but my immediate bosses are SUPER nice! and the boss im working directly under is so patient, kind and easy to talk to.. i have a feeling i will love working with her. UBS really does know to treat its employees well.. my boss treated me to a welcome lunch at uberburger.. i was really amazed at this "welcome lunch" policy! anyways! on my very 2nd day, my boss was nice enough to let me tag along with her to have a look see ard spa botanica in sentosa. needless to say, i was super happy yesterday! must work harder.. have a feelin im not nearly as useful yet.. arrghh! must improve! spa botanica is really lovely though. my mouth was droppin at every room she brought us to. hey! im easy to impress!

hopefully, i get to scout another place next week with another boss, coz my boss was talking about it. there is another new intern. when i met her, my first thought was "when i grow up, i wanna be like her" and then i find out she's the same age as me. -_-lll. bleh. need to start maturing in looks and figure!

im so gonna enjoy this hols.. a great job tt provides satisfaction, great friends to hang out with (since almost everyone is working in town now) and freedom to do stuff on weekends! let's not forget world cup! heh.

jianxiang and i make a great team. the results of our efforts can be appreciated tomorrow! love hanging out with jianxang. guranteed compliments, movies and great conversation... what more can a girl ask for? plus he willingly pays for movies and if u complain about ur feet hurting, he dares to ask whehther shorts are allowed into balcony bar just to find a seat! how sweet is that? sidenote: does anyone feel that balcony bar's music is reminscent of momo's music? r&b one moment, trance or something the next.

you know how they say, "when one door closes, a window opens"? yeah.. tt's real true. i lost a friendship which i thought was real, and since then, i have been meeting old friends which i have lost contact with! on thursday, i realised that lalita takes the same bus to work as me. haven seen her in ages! turns out tt she has graduated and is currently working in Ministry of Finance. Her job scope sounds super cool and tough. Plus, she's really gorgeous now. Lucky for her boyfriend, they are gonna married this year! If i was a guy, i would fall in love with her at first fight! then i accidentally met pei happily shopping. the next day, on the "surprise!hot babes galore!" list was adele who will be going into NIE. i can so imagine her jogging to school.

hmmm.. just read thru my post. i sound like a superficial bitch.. but can i help it that everyone ard me is so beautiful and im like a lost puppy in the world of hot people? they are the kind of people everyone wants to be.. so when i see them, i'm like woooah!

i tink its a pretty good indication of how sad my life is when
- while buying tickets for MI3, i can't recognise the titles of the other movies..
- when lalita asked me what's new after 5 years, i can only reply "nothing much"
- i didnt even manage to attend the politcial rallies! arrghh!

MI3 is just an ego trip for tom cruise.

but life's lookin up.. if jianxiang can fufill my last wish on my wishlist, life would be unbeliveably good. i keep pinching myself to see whether this is a dream. it's almost too good to be true. what on earth did i do to deserve it man?

its the end of the exams today! in just 15 hours, moi est free! ladeedum.. of coz im supposed to be worried for the upcoming exams since i have been celebrating the near end of exams for the last few days.. but! i, adel, will never (say it with me! NEVA!) bend and grovel at the exams fear!

i happily went into my law exams with 3 frigging thick books just to scare the guy beside me.. and guess who sat beside me?? guo an. -_-lll. he just took one look at my books and said, "you got time to flip thru them meh?", promptly throwing ice cold water all over me.

but i must admit, one thing i love about exams in NUS is that its the best time to make friends. hey.. misery loves company right? but sde people are super nice.. all u have to do is just know someone in a study group.. and happily barge in. not only do you get to know many more people, they are so welcoming, its kinda embarrassing.. plus when u apologise for asking so mnay questions, they are nice enough to smile and say that it's okay plus they love answering questions! i dunnoe about you guys, but my study environment was never as generous as this. there was always this element of ermm.. like keeping certain notes or study stuff to oneself..but at present, when i ask for help, i get their own notes, offers to photocopy their notes.. their assignments and all! no questions or barriers.. no faking "ohhh.. ermm u just see the notes can liao".. cool huh? sorry.. am still amazed by how generous they are.. i even had one guy teach me how to do the measurement step by step!

in other non-exam-related news: been hooked all over again on full metal panic? after the way jinyu described them, i just had to find the episodes of him training the volleyball team and the one with the chemical weapon..hilarious! thank goodness for youtube!

super happy coz world cup is coming! and my dad finally decided to get cable just for the world cup. (they have some offer gg on) super yay!but we can't get axn, starworld till audrey's exams end.. booo. but still! plus im rather content after discovering a whole stash of CSI: NY... woohoo! im gonna sit on tt dang sofa and relax till my DNA unwinds and my body melts into a puddle of goo goo!

hey.. we have to watch a few world cup games together kk? wanna yell "referee kayu!" and all at the tv screen.. can't hardly wait for world cup! ahhhh!!

things to do after exams:
-go to a pap rally
- go to a worker's party rally (pretty cool huh? my area finally gets to vote! i keep pestering my mum and sis about who they are gonna vote for.. since i cant vote.. bummer! just a few months more..... *mutters* and i would be a great voter!)

- finish the whole season of CSI: NY!
- watch "my wife and kids" (11th may.. it begins!)
- world cup! arrrghh1 im having goosebumps already..
